Lela was discovered by agent Jim South and first began performing in explicit hardcore movies in 2006. Among the top companies Star has worked for are Evil Angel, North Star, Jules Jordan Video, New Sensations, and Red Light District. She became a contract girl for the major company ClubJenna in June, 2007. Lela won the Adam Film World Guide Award for Best Latin Starlet in 2007 and was nominated for an AVN Award for Best New Starlet in 2008. Moreover, Star was the Pet of the Month in the July, 2010 issue of Penthouse. In August 2011, Lela announced on her Twitter account that she's married and has chosen to retire from the adult film industry.
