André Balbuena

André Balbuena is a Peruvian film director, screenwriter, and editor. He holds a degree in Communication from the Universidad de Lima and is the creator of "Bus", whose trailer surpassed 4 million organic views on TikTok. "Bus" has screened at various film festivals including Miami, Dallas, San Jose, Bengaluru, and Aesthetica. His work explores everyday life with beauty, rawness, and truth. He wrote and directed the musical short film "Una primera cita" (A First Date) in 2019, which won a Best Sound Award at a local film festival. During his university years, he also directed "Una buena abogada" (A Good Lawyer) in 2018, a short film adapted from a micro-theater play, which has now surpassed 300,000 views on YouTube.
