Abdullah Khan

Abdullah Khan is a British filmmaker and founder of Rosebud Films. A BFI Academy alumnus, Khan began his career as a trainee on productions including 1917, Star Wars and Fast & Furious, before joining Neal Street Productions, where he worked as a general assistant, supporting teams across the development and production of film, theatre and television. In 2022, Khan was named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. As a writer-director, he has independently financed and produced multiple short films including Find the Light (2022), starring George MacKay; Path to Ecstasy (2023), starring Olivier Award winner Michael Jibson alongside Louis Ashbourne Serkis; and Screening Room (2025), filmed at London’s Prince Charles Cinema. These films have screened internationally and at BIFA-qualifying festivals across the UK. His work to date blends emotional realism with heightened subjectivity, whilst exploring themes of memory, displacement and the search for transcendence.
