Sawsan Yusuf

Sawsan Yusuf is an Egyptian producer, born in 1988. She holds a degree in Drama and Criticism from Ain Shams University and is an alumna of Berlin talents, Rotterdam Lab (IFFR) and Creative Producer Indaba with EAVE. She also participated in the Producers Network at the Cannes Film Festival. She began her career in 2009, working as a coordinator for several festivals and film markets in the Middle East, alongside her work as a line producer in independent cinema—particularly in documentaries and short films. In 2019, she founded her production company Bonanza Films, through which she produced several acclaimed short films that were selected at prestigious festivals. In 2025, she produced the feature film Aisha Can’t Fly Away, which had its world premiere at the Festival de Cannes – Un Certain Regard.
