Kent North

Kent North (born Ben Grey) was a highly prominent and charismatic British gay adult film actor who achieved massive global popularity during a brief but meteoric career in the mid-2000s. Born on 27 December 1971 in Kent, England, he possessed a fascinating background prior to entering the entertainment industry. Before his time on camera, he served his country as a Royal Navy Submariner, an honorable military tenure for which he was personally recognized by Queen Elizabeth II. Furthermore, he was a classically trained, accomplished pianist. North entered the adult film industry in 2004, making an immediate impact with his tall, athletic physique, polite demeanor, and masculine charm. He quickly signed an exclusive contract with the premier adult studio Hot House Entertainment, alongside working with Alphamale Media. Over the course of the next few years, he starred in several high-profile adult feature films, including Twisted (2005), Justice (2006), and At Your Service (2007). Known for his versatility and magnetic on-screen chemistry, he captivated an enormous, dedicated fanbase on both sides of the Atlantic within just a two-year window. Beyond his on-screen roles, North was a highly respected figure within the adult community. He frequently used his platform and growing celebrity status to participate in numerous charitable events and fundraising initiatives. His career reached a notable high point in May 2007 when he travelled to Chicago to co-host the prestigious Grabby Erotic Video Awards alongside fellow industry stars. At the same event, his exceptional work was honored when he won the coveted Grabby Award for Best Solo performance. Tragically, just weeks after celebrating his major industry victory and returning home, Kent North passed away on 4 July 2007 in London at the age of 35. His death was a suicide caused by a drug overdose. He was survived by his partner, Warren Lord (also known as Lloyd North). To honor his legacy, charisma, and lasting impact on the industry, North was posthumously inducted into the Grabby Awards Wall of Fame in 2008.
