Born on March 29, 2005, Lucas Enrique is a Brazilian film director, screenwriter, graphic designer, still photographer and editor, currently studying Cinema at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas), in Belo Horizonte. His work is marked by an intimate and poetic approach to themes such as memory, desire, masculinity and spirituality, often blending documentary observation with fictional sensibilities. Strongly influenced by the films of Shūji Terayama, as well as Japanese and Czech New Wave cinema and Surrealism, Lucas seeks to explore the expressive possibilities of the moving image through a highly personal visual language. Alongside his filmmaking practice, he serves as Secretary of Communication for CACINE, the Cinema students' academic association at PUC Minas. His projects include the artistic nude photography series Monamú, the observational documentary Sobre o Hábito, and the short film Menino Ávio.
