Lance De Guzman

Lance De Guzman is a Filipino-American filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. After moving to the United States at 12 years old, he began making films in his late teens. Inspired and motivated by his immigrant experience growing up in Florida. After moving to Texas, he began developing his voice through hands-on experience and a deep appreciation for world cinema and the films of Steven Spielberg. His recent projects include narrative shorts that experiment with the form that include dialogue-free storytelling and analog formats like Super 8 and Super16. Short films include Balang Araw (2023), Heaven’s Door (2026) and currently in production on BeachHouse (2027) .
