After a gorgeous party, Po Chu and her husband Cho Yum witness a robbery on the way home. She ignores all the feminine behaviour a woman should have, and she catches the robber. Cho Yum is between laughter and tears when he sees that. Po Chu has joined the police force as an inspector after her completion of matriculation. She is zealous for her job and she is hard working. Thus, she is nicknamed as 'feminine killer'. At the same time. she has received a lot of complaints. So, the attitude of her superintendent towards her is between hatred and love. Cho Yum has married Po Chu for six years. Superficially, he takes good care of her. However, he grumbles against her job from time to time. It always causes argument between them. Po Chu has once thought about resignation of her job. however, she is afraid of the unbearable routine life of a housewife……

Po Chu and Chu Fat follows the information provided by Tai Chi and they successfully catch a number of prostitutes who are under 18. Moreover, they find a lot of armamen t by chance. As a result, Po Chu has a strong sense of achievement and it makes her treasure her challenging job more. Yuen Ching runs a shop of bridal gown together with some young girls. However, her partners have all withdrawn since they are married. At last, it leaves Yuen Ching alone to run the shop. Although the business of the shop is not bad, Yuen Ching still has bitter feeling as she pr6vides wedding gown for the others but none for herself. In order to improve their relationship, Cho Yum persuades Po Chu to resign her job and join Yuen Ching to look after her shop. Po Chu is in a dilemma. While Tai chi is wondering in the street; he accidentally spoils a robbery of a goldsmith planned by a gang of thieves. Thus. he is beaten……

Tai Chi lives with his mother Hung Ku and he shows great respect to his mother. In fact, Hung Ku worked as a prostitute to earn their living and she suffered a lot in the past. Later, she quitted her work as Tai Chi had grown up. Then. she ran a stall of dessert in the front of Yau Chun's store. So, she can earn her living. Tai chi has one great wish, that is. to provide capital to run a dessert shop for his mother. However, he is incapable of making his dream come true. Moreover, he has once been imprisoned as a result of shop-lifting. Thus, he has learned many bad habits and he becomes lazy. He always feel that there is no hope in his future and it makes him feel indebted to his mother. Chi Shan's subordinate Kwai Ling Ko steals a car in the main street. He asks Tai Chi tp enjoy driving with him. In fact, the car belongs to Po Chu. Though she does not have the evidence, she suspects that Tai Chi is the one who stole her car……

Eight years after their separation, Chi Chung still cannot forget Yuen Ching. He returns to Hong Kong to propose marriage again. Yuen Ching wants to accept his proposal, however, Robert appears / at the same time. So, Yuen Ching rejects Chi Chung once again. Later, Yuen Ching finds that Robert wants to borrow money from her only and it makes her very disappointed. One of Chan Bill's antiques is nearly stolen by a swindler. Tai Chi recognizes the immoral practice of the swindler and he gets back the antique out of a sense of righteousness. After this incident, Chan Bill and Tai Chi become good friends. When Po Chu knows that, she is surprised. Chan Bill understands that there is misunderstanding between Po Chu and Tai Chi. Thus, ha states that he can sense there may b~ some underlying causes which shape Tai Chi's behavior. However~ these causes can hardly be unveiled to the others……

Lily always uses the pretext of having lunch with Po Chu to go to the police station. In fact, she makes use of her beautiful appearance to ask Po Chu's colleagues t6 buy insurance policy. She wants Hung Ku to join as her partner to open a dessert shop. In order to complete the dream of his mother, Tai Chi promises to raise $100,000 for her. Yuen Ching finds that the marriage between Cho Yum and Po Chu is on the verge of divorce and she is worried. She works as the middle-man to provide chances for their reconciliation. However, it is difficult the love relationship and she is frustrated because she has no alternative. Although Yuen Ching is in her middle are, she still thinks that she retains a great deal of charm. She is in pursuit of romantic love story for many years……

Cho Yum is discontented because Po Chu protects Tai Chi and they have quarrel again. Later, they use Tai Chi as a means of bet: if he does not commit a crime within 3 months, then Cho Yum agrees to divorce Po Chu with the cause of adultery; on the contrary, if Tai Chi does commit a crime, then Po Chu should resign her job and plays the role as Cho Yum's ideal housewife. In order to prevent Tai Chi from committing a crime, Po Chu decides to hire him as the domestic helper with high pay. As he needs money, Tai Chi is willing to play the role as the means of bet and he moves to live in Chu's flat. After Tai Chi has gotten the money, he leaves at once. Po Chu reveals Tai Chi's identity as a spy of police to then triad members. All triads look for Tai Chi to take revenge. For the sake of his life, Tai Chi goes back to Po Chu's home. Chi and Chu live in the flat and they think of tricks to cheat and fool each other……

Tai Chi cannot bear the restriction posed by Po Chu and he protests against her. In order to please him, she promises to give him $100,000 as reward after three months. Tai Chi is in ecstasy when he hears that. Po Chu and Tai Chi stay together for a long time. After a series of misunderstanding and quarrel, they understand each other more. Po Chu has shown the weakness as being a woman and Tai Chi feels sympathy for her. Their relationship is improved. Yau Chun recognizes that Tai Chi always stays with Po Chu and she follows them to Po Chu's home. She misjudges that Tai Chi works as a gigolo for Po Chu. It makes Tai Chi between laughter and tears. Po Chu wants to win the bet, however, it makes her in great financial difficulty. Anyway, she is compelled to struggle with Cho Yum. Tai Chi cannot stand the loneliness and he wants to take a walk in the street, however, Po Chu does not allow him to do so……

As there is a bone stuck in Cho Yum's throat, he calls Po Chu at once. Po Chu thinks that his illness is recurred and she rushes to visit him. Cho Yum realizes that she still misses him and he is relieved. Tai Chi and Po Chu have once been a couple of trouble, however, they understand and they take care of each other gradually. Tai Chi finally develops a sense of love towards Po Chu. It revives his self confidence and hop~ in life. Wai Tak is a great lover. He recognizes that Yuen Ching is longing for romance, therefore, he suits her need. In return, she loves him whole-heartedly and she devotes all her love and passion to him. Cho Yum finds that Po Chu and Tai Chi become very intimate. He starts to pay more attention to gain back Po Chu's love. So, she has a sense of love again. Tai Chi knows that Tai Chi is dated with Po Chu. His curiosity is aroused that he follows them secretly. He finds they share a good time……

Typhoon signal No. 8 is hoisted, however, Po Chu witnesses that Tai Chi goes to help Chan Sze, a wanderer who sleeps in the street, to find a shelter under the adverse weather. Thus, she changes her attitude towards Tai Chi as she now recognizes that he is a good man. The love relationship between Wai Tak and his wife is far from satisfactory. So, he seizes every chance to have extra-marital affair in order to force his wife to divorce him. Unexpectedly, his wife suddenly announces that she is pregnant. Thus, he puts aside his plan of of divorce. Po Chu knows that Yuen Ching is having love affair with a married man. Po Chu persuades her to stop their relationship but she fails. Later, Yuen Ching realizes the true colours of Wai Tak. So, she is very upset and frustrated. One day, while Po Chu was investigating a crime, she grabbed a woman's private car to chase the thief. However, the car was seriously damaged……

As an observer, Chan Bill finds that Tai Chi is not a wicked man, though he has a lot of bad habits. Besides, he knows that he really cares about Po Chu. Thus, he asks Po Chu to treasure ‧his love. It makes Po Chu confused. Hung Ku goes to Chu's home to visit Tai Chi and she meets Po Chu. She takes this chance to praise his son with exaggeration in order to make them a couple. Later, she knows that Po Chu is married and she is very disappointed. Cho Yum and Po Chu have long been regarded as the best couple by Lily. When Cho Yum flirts with her and hints that he wants her to go to his villa, she does not recognize the real intent of Cho Yum. She misjudges that Cho Yum asks her to act as the middle?man to arrange the reunion of the couple. After Lily has settled down in the villa, Cho Yum returns to the villa. He forces Lily to have sex. At the same time, Po Chu arrives at the villa……

Po Chu finds that there is no need to continue their bet. She sells her jewellery in order to raise $100,000 for Tai Chi as his reward. However, Cho ￥um does not accept this arrangement and he urges to continue their bet. Besides, Tai Chi is reluctant to leave Po Chu. He promises that he will stay at her home. The police discover an organization which runs a business of loot. The leader Maniac B denies all the charges. Po Chu uses a plan to force his subordinates to admit their wrong-doing. Thus, he has a strong sense of hatred towards Po Chu and he waits for a chance to take revenge on her. Cho Yum knows that there is no hope for him to become reconciled with Po Chu. So, he becomes more and more licentious that he brings wicked women to home. Yuen Ching cannot stand his misbehaviour. She is so angry that she leaves her family and she moves to live with Po Chu. Chu Fat has a big debt as a result of gambling……

Hung Ku finds that Tai Chi and Yau Chun have indeed wasted a lot of time in their love affair. Thus, she tries her best to make them a couple. Tai Chi misjudges the intent of Hung Ku. He thinks that she just wants to hold a flamboyant birthday party. So, he arranges the banquet whole-heartedly. Po Chu sees Yau Chun go to Yuen Ching's bridal salon to choose a wedding gown. She believes that Yau Chun is goj.ng to marry Tai Chi and she is very upset. Later, Tai Chi gives her explanation and it makes her contended. Po Chu has tried her best to collect evidence to prove Maniac B's guilt and she decides to sue him. However, he has prepared to deal with her and he sends his subordinates to steal the evidence. Po Chu cannot bear this act and she goes to negotiate with Maniac B, however, they start quarrel. Maniac takes this chance to complain Po Chu for she has abused her official authority to hurt him……

In order to help Po Chu to get rid of the accusation, Tai Chi takes the risk of imprisonment of himself and tries to collect the evidence to prove Maniac B's guilt. Finally, Maniac B is sent to jail. Po Chu is moved and she is grateful to Tai Chi for his help. Chan Chak is injured and he is sent to hospital. Tai Chi and Hung Ku rush to look after him at once. Po Ch\] is curious and she asks Hung Ku for the reason of their visit. In fact, Hung Ku borrowed money from loan-shark Chan Chak to solve her financial problem several years ago. As she was unable to pay back the debt, Chan Chak raped her instead. In order to save his mother, Tai Chi unintentionally hurt Chan Chak and made him an idiot. For the sake of his mother's reputation, Tai Chi hid the fact and admitted that he hurt Chan Chak intentionally. Thus, he was sent to jail for twelve years. Hung Ku was guilty for she had ruined Tai Chi's future career.

The period of the bet is expired and the game is over. Tai Chi really has not committed any crime and he helps Po Chu to win the bet. Cho Yum is displeased when he finds that Po Chu accepts such a rude man. Chu Fat sees that Yuen Ching is very depressed and he gradually develops a sense of love out of sympathy. Yuen Ching recognizes his love and sincerity and she removes all the barriers and start a love affair with him. Tai Chi moves out from Chu's flat as he has finished his duty. Both of them cannot adapt to the life without each other since they miss each other. When Po Chu learns that Tai Chi gets $100,000 only wants to fulfill his mother's hope, she changes her attitude towards him. So, she always encourages him to strive for his goal. Ying Ying is indecently assaulted and she has to go to the police station. However, she does not want to let Ping Kong know because she is afraid that he will lose his temper……

Tai Chi and Po Chu become separated as a result of misunderstanding. Ying Ying recognizes that both of them do not want to apologize to the other, therefore, she persuades him to give a present to Po Chu and takes to initiative to become reconciled with Po Chu. However, Tai Chi does not dare to do so. Ping Kong finds that Ying Ying and Tai Chi always stay together. It reminds him that they were lovers in the past and he suspects that they become lovers again. Thus, he is suspicious and he tests Ying Ying from time to time. S6, there is barrier between this couple. Cho Yum started a new business in property market recently. One of his dealing concerned Tai Chi's dessert shop. He Hants to buy Tai Chi's shop with attractive price, however, Hung Ku rejects his proposal. Cho Yum cannot accept it, therefore, he sends some triad members to threaten Hung Ku……

Tai Chi's dessert shop is seriously damaged after the fire. It needs renovation which involves a large sum of money. Besides, the bank re-evaluates the market price of his shop and Tai Chi has to pay back the balance. It makes Tai Chi face with great financial difficulty. Heungs Development Group plans to develop a large entertainment centre and they wants to buy the site of Cho Yum. However, Cho Yum rejects the proposal. It makes Heung Seng, the chairman of Heungs Group, very angry. He orders Ng Chi Shan to kidnap Cho Yum. Tai Chi accidentally learns that the fire of the dessert shop is started by the son of Yau Chun when he is playing with fire. Thus, he knows that he has misjudged Cho Yum. He regrets for his misbehaviour. Tai Chi does not want to see Yau Chun suffer a loss, therefore, he follows the advice of Hung Ku and he takes the initiative to call Cho Yum to discuss the sale of his shop……

On the verge of the kidnap, Tai Chi analyses all the data and he finds out that Cho Yum is the merchant whom they are going to kidnap. While he is trying to prevent Chi Shan from taking action, the police arrive. Chi Shan is killed under the rain of bullets and Tai Chi is caught as the suspect. Cho Yum hates Tai Chi so deeply that he firmly points out Tal Chi is the kidnaper. Tai Chi can hardly find any word to defend himself. When Po Chu learns that she is disappointed. Po Chu tries her best to investigate the whole issue. Finally, he finds that Ping Kong is the only witness. She persuades Ping Kong to appear in court to save his old friend. However, Ping Kong believes that the love between Tai Chi and Ying Ying has revived. He has a strong sense of jealousy and declines to appear in court. On the other hand, he blackmails Cho Yum. While all the others are hopeless and helpless, Ping Kong suddenly appears in court……
