Flemming discovers that over 10% of the residents of Toftlund lost their lives during the First World War. Tom finds out that there is a memorial grove in Denmark for soldiers who voluntarily fought for Hitler.
Prisoners become jailers! That was how it was on 5 May 1945 in Frøslvelejren, when peace came. Flemming and Tom must take part in the South Jutland national sport, ring riding. Tom visits the queen, who talks about a divided Southern Jutland before and after the Second World War. And then the strict language teacher, Asger Reher is of course ready again with the Spanish pipe.
