With a tiny budget they have allocated £3,000 to renovate their bathroom, yet they want a luxury hotel look. Their green makeover involves replacing a water-guzzling toilet and bath with money- and energy-saving fittings as well as creating a chic and contemporary finish. For inspiration, Ranvir heads to a house with a wood-fired hot tub.

With the majority of the green build done, Kunle offers up his design experience to tackle their open-plan kitchen and living room, which they've ambitiously moved up to the first floor to maximise spectacular views and to harness the solar power of the sun.
