A Great Way to Care

Inside a shopping mall, Chan MEI KUEN loses her control and commits suicide. The Senior Psychiatrist of Yan Wo Hospital KO LAP YAN brings along three interns WAI, YAU and TSUN to see the patient. YAN is not happy with their rash diagnosis. His best friend as well as colleague LIN CHI SUM calms the patient down with psychotherapy. The fast responses of the nurse LI YING CHUN impress those three interns. KUEN is speculated to suffer from traumatic stress sequel since she has once witnessed someone committed suicide by jumping off a shopping mall. After work, SUM meets his wife HO SAU WAI whom is a brain branch senior nurse. YAN laughs at the way they talk so concisely. SHAU YEE, the father of YAN is a security supervisor in a shopping mall. He is almost knocked down by a vehicle while chasing after a thief. He blames his eldest son LAP BOON for urging him to retire……

The Star of Yan Wo, Senior Psychiatrist Dr LAW WING HANG points out during an interview that the cutter extremist committed crime again as he may be a psychopath. The psychiatric nurses CHI, NGA and SAN are full of praise for his professionalism while YAN, SUM and CHUN are thinking otherwise. They think disdainfully about his hypocritical behavior. The cutter extremist TAI CHI HO wants to commit crime again and YAN becomes his target. YEE and her superior Inspector CHUNG KWOK BUN arrest HO. HO is a mildly mentally handicapped and was once the patient of YAN. YAN wants YEE to investigate since he suspects that HO is suffered from a lot of irritant and battering. SHAU YEE was once the superior of BUN and BUN went over to his place for dinner. SUM tries to get the children together and convinces SAU WAI to buy a new car. Yet eventually no one stands on his side……

YEE suspects that HO is being forced to commit crime by the tattooed man whom should be the leader of the street gang. SUEN KA PIK is getting fat riotously and while running away from the hospital, she meets CHUN. SUM receives a fruit basket wooing for love. He shows off to SAU WAI but she just gives him the cold shoulder. YEE finds out that the tattooed man is WAI CHUNG and CHAN is his father. BUN wants to stop YEE from her investigation and asks her to send some stuff to SHAU YEE. YEE happens to see that CHUNG and the street gang are bullying another mentally handicapped. Not able to stop them, YEE is teased by the gang instead. Fortunately, SHAU YEE appears and fights them off. CHUNG uploads the snatch of how they bullied YEE on Internet; YAN also finds other snatches showing how CHUNG bullied HO and the way he did violence with the cutter. The street gang is arrested and point out that CHUNG is the murderer……

PIK cannot deal with her obese figure and wants to commit suicide but accidentally pushes CHUN into the sea. CHUN knows from YAU that PIK gets this bulimia nervosa due to the pressure causes by her love affair. LEUNG is distressed since he is not able to figure out what causes his patient, CHAN TAI such great pain on his arms. His supervisory doctor LAW WING HANG refuses to help but YAN gives his advices and helps solve the problems. YEE appreciates it so much when YAN helps find out the suspect who sprinkled red oil all over the restaurant. SHAU YEE wants to help his ex-girlfriend, CHIU YUK FUN to pay off her gambling debts and asks his eldest son BOON to sell the funds. WAI, TSUN and YAU meet a patient LI CHI YAN on the street and she is going for some compensated dating. YAU thinks YAN is suffered from a split personality disorder……

WAI feels very guilty knowing that YAN is under a very critical condition. YAN reprimands WAI and the other two interns for not getting YAN back in time to the hospital to receive treatment. BUN and YEE infer that YAN has murdered the dead man TSU CHUN BONG that is found in the garage. When YAN awakes, she asks to see WAI. YAN dies after revealing that she has spent her greatest time in the hospital. CHUN has a date with TINA and wants to plan about their marriage. TINA blames CHUN for not making much progress with his career and remains just as a nurse. CHUN bumps into PIK while she is blaming her boyfriend KWONG for not loving her anymore. KWONG admits that her obesity really makes him sick of her. CHUN manages to persuade PIK to give up the thought of committing suicide and willing to give her a shelter. SUM and SAU WAI are acting very loving in the hospital as to elicit who is that love mania……

BONG blackmailed KWOK with YAN’s naked photographs and therefore KWOK killed him. As to protect himself, KWOK left YAN alone although she was badly injured. LEUNG is frustrated due to the failure of his promotion examine. He meets SAN when he goes for an invitation organized by the Psyche Fellowship. Both of them feel so relieved after the gathering. Councilor SHEK YIK KIN criticizes about the Psyche Fellowship and is disturbed by an act of retaliation. While chasing after a thief, YEE suffers from a headache. She requires for a leave as taking a rest and checkup. YAN and YEE meet FUN, asking her not to swindle SHAU YEE anymore. FUN turns around to look for SHAU YEE and give him a hard time. She blames SHAU YEE for leaving her in the old days and makes her life real miserable. PIK is buoyed up by the support she gets from CHUN. CHUN dares not say a word about TINA having another love affair……

MAN is the member of the Psyche Fellowship. She is hospitalized for having schizophrenia. Together with other interns, SUM wants to know more about the Psyche Fellowship. YAN helps CHI to get away from the admirer that pesters her. It makes CHI shows great interest about YAN. YEE is actually the adopted daughter of KEUNG and he happens to be the master of YAN. YEE has hereditary schizophrenia and her mother committed suicide due to the same mental illness. Despite having this illness, it has been kept under control all the while. SHAU YEE wants YEE to help FUN find a job and he also hopes that YEE and YAN can be a pair. LEUNG takes the wrong diagnosis that a kid has got hyperactivity disorder. Later on it is found by HANG that is a case of child abuse instead. TSUN and WAI join the Psyche Fellowship as to take up some undercover investigation. Yet both are awed by the members and the ambience there……

The Psyche Fellowship members all go against the hospital and want MAN to be released. The doctors can do nothing to help but when the Living Saint YUEN MAN HO gets there, he is able to calm down MAN and the members. The patient Auntie KIU pays special attention to the news of the Psyche Fellowship and inquires HANG news about MAN. Seeing the situation of MAN, LEUNG reveals to SUM that due to his own depression, he has once participated the gathering of the Psyche Fellowship. CHI deceives YAN back home and wants to be intimate with him. YEE runs into it and YAN is able to withdraw. SUM’s mother CHEUNG YIM FONG is back to HK. The entire family is restless because of her fussiness. CHUN helps PIK organize her life so that he can resign and move to Taiwan with TINA. YAN is mad at him regarding this incident. More and more members of the Psyche Fellowship get into the hospital due to some psychiatric problems……

YIK and his wife are murdered before he can expose the secrets about the Psyche Fellowship. YIK is tortured to death but all the traces have been carefully cleared. BUN suspects YUEN is the murderer. Knowing that YIK is killed, KIU sneaks out of the hospital and wants to kill YUEN. YEE takes YUEN back to the police station prior to her arrival. From the newspaper records and the behaviors of KIU, HANG figures that YUEN is the son of KIU. YUEN is not being cooperative, so BUN asks YAN to come and help. From the picture of KIU and her son, YAN gets the clue that the miserable childhood has caused YUEN a personality disorder and therefore he murdered his twin brother. It made KIU suffer from some mental illness and was sent to the hospital. YAN finally makes YUEN plead guilty. The patients under the Psyche Fellowship all turn back to normal after YUEN is sentenced. SUM mediates between YAN and CHUN and they become friends again……

PIK worries about CHUN and spends the whole night to accompany him, hoping to bring him back his confidence. She also asks YAN to help him out. CHUN helps the police save a girl CHEUNG MEI WAN who gets herself trapped. At the same time, a policeman TO WING HING is killed and his gun has disappeared. WAN tells that her father CHEUNG CHI TUNG is an undercover agent and he is unaccounted for days. PIK chooses to run away since she is too scared that her love for CHUN will be rejected. TUNG was once a subordinate of BUN but due to his emotional misbehaviors, he has left the police force. YAN reckons that TUNG has paranoia of being killed and it affects WAN as well. YEE and YAN help WAN take up a cognitive therapy and make WAN get to know the truth. SHAU YEE shows his concern to FUN since he knows that FUN has a checkup at the oncology section and her son loots all her wages as well……

BUN receives round-the-clock protection and it makes it hard for TUNG to approach. YAN’s daughter KO HO NAM is back to HK for vacation. During dinner, YEE knows that NAM is being bothered by her ex-boyfriend. YAU asks WAI to run a show at the broadcasting station on behalf of HANG. While getting praise from HANG, YAU also receives censure from YAN. YAU thinks that YAN has prejudice against her. When Big Boss informs SUM that he is going to be promoted, SUM and SAU WAI are delighted. FONG is acting strange and speaks contrarily; it makes the family not knowing which course to follow. FONG even passes on the precious family bracelet to SAU WAI. YAN runs into YEE when she keeps NAM company to meet her ex-boyfriend. YAN collapses for knowing that NAM is pregnant and YEE consoles him. YAN gives time to NAM to deal with her own problem. BUN leads the police to arrest TUNG. TUNG gives up the chance to kill BUN and escapes……

Knowing that YEE is injured, YAN rushes to visit her in the hospital. YAN learns from WAN about the affairs of Uncle Cake. Moreover, TUNG has only hurt YEE in a minor way. Therefore he reckons that TUNG is not the real murderer. YAN arranges BUN to meet WAN and from her they know TUNG has been treating BUN as a good boss as well as his best friend. In fact HING was the Uncle Cake who had been supporting TUNG for a long time. When TUNG finds that HING is killed, he started tracking the murderer. He provides clues to BUN and BUN eventually arrests the real murderer. After knowing FUN has got colorectal cancer, SHAU YEE encourages her to face the therapy positively. FUN is deeply touched to see how SHAU YEE has been giving her his full support. YAN is filled with anxiety about NAM’s pregnancy. REBECCA has a fight in the hospital with her husband HANG and makes everybody around gossips about it……

FONG insists not taking the surgery. She goes out with SAU WAI to look for different kinds of egg tarts that she has taken before and SUM thinks that there must be a story behind it. Big Boss HO is retiring and wants to make a group photo for his memorial set. Everybody sneers at HANG when HO snubs him completely. Patient CHEUNG SUM KIT has a very poor relationship with his elder sister YAU. KIT is transvestism and being sent to the hospital due to his suicidal tendencies. KIT makes a request to YAN for taking a sex change operation. NAM’s pregnancy is a distress to YAN. He wants NAM to give the baby to some voluntary agencies after birth. Yet NAM insists on raising the baby herself. Her thought upsets YAN but the entire KO family does support NAM instead. FUN suddenly becomes a gambler and she even swindles and steals. It makes SHAU YEE give up on her. In fact FUN gambles since she wants to save her son from defalcation……

When buying some baby supplies, YAN saves an abandoned baby and since then he realizes how brave and responsible NAM is. YAN and NAM are finally reconciled. Being encouraged by NAM and CHUN, YAN shows his love to YEE and everybody in the hospital feels happy for them. FONG is looking for egg tarts all because her husband once had a mistress KAM who sold egg tarts. As to protect the family, she chased her away while KAM was pregnant at that time. Ever since then she has carried all the guilt and becomes sick. A diabetic patient CHAN CHEUNG SING dies with no regret since WAI has given him the definiteness of himself. YAU argues against the sex change operation with KIT and his friend KWOK YIU supports him. YAN knows that KIT once had an affair with YIU. From what he learns from YAU about their family background, he firmly believes that KIT wants to take the operation only because he wants to weasel out of some secrets.

After receiving therapies from YAN, KIT decides to give up the thought of changing his sex. During the period HO leaves HK, he hangs over the authority to HANG which makes everyone think that HO is very fickle-minded. SUM lies to FONG that KAM is living fine so that she can feel at ease to take the operation. Yet FONG realizes it is just a lie since she has already found KAM. FONG finally agrees to take the operation. During the wedding ceremony of an old classmate, CHUN runs into someone claims to be his old classmate YEE. She acts strange and requests CHUN to offer her a shelter since she does not have a home. KIT is discharged from the hospital and prepares to live a new life with YAU. KIT once worked under LAW KAU and KAU had sexually assaulted him. KIT goes to the dockyard late at night to beat KAU as to vent his anger. When KIT and YAU are out, KIT is arrested since KAU is dead and the police suspect that KIT did it……

The real murderer who has killed KAU attacks YEE. YEE brings YAN to meet her grandfather and he advises YEE to hide about her genetic mental illness from YAN. YEE meets her adopted father KEUNG whom is also the master of YAN. KUENG is surprised to know that his own apprentice becomes the boyfriend of YAN. When YAN sees their picture, he is eager to know about their relationship. KEUNG reveals to YAN that YEE has a family genetic mental illness and being her boyfriend YAN should love her more. PIK has a weight loss and claims to be an old classmate of CHUN. This secret is exposed by SUM. SUM helps PIK to know whether CHUN loves her or not. A murderer captures CHEUNG LAI TING and forces her to take a snatch and admit that she has once abandoned her newborn baby. The snatch is uploaded on Internet. YEE ambushes outside the video shop the whole night and follows the murderer to a factory building. YEE is attacked and knocked out……

YEE persuades the murderer to repent and start anew but the murderer says that he kills for justice. YAN and BUN look over those snatches, YAN points out that the murderer has an obsessive-compulsive disorder. From the scene where KAU is killed, they find a wedding ring left by the murderer. They find out the murderer is LAM WAI SUN. He wants revenge for his dead wife CHAN MAN LING and killed KAU and TING. The surmise of his next target will be the magistrate. SUN is arrested but refuses to tell the whereabouts of YEE. YAN points out that LING is worth respected since she sacrificed herself for saving others. SUN is touched and willing to tell the location of YEE. In the hospital, YEE has gone into in a coma for two days. YAN convinces her to resign and YEE agrees to consider. CHUN is sad knowing that PIK is getting married. SUM questions CHUN closely if he loves PIK……

All the staff in the hospital feels sorry for the death of NGA. CHUN suspects that her death has something to do with her mysterious boyfriend. HO announces his retirement and HANG will take over as the big boss. Yet HANG does not seem very excited. HANG divulges to the police that he has an affair with NGA but emphasizes that he never kills anyone. BUN believes that NGA is being murdered. YEE prohibits patient WU KAM CHUEN from indecently harassing the nurse. LAU KIT PO is a volunteer friend of SHAU YEE who works as a healthcare staff. Seeing the bruises on PO, SHAU YEE suspects that her husband LAW KWOK HUNG must have beaten her. Knowing that they are a loving couple, SHAU YEE is at ease. YEE doubts whether her illness is back again but scares to let YAN know. YAN proposes to YEE and she is delighted. When the head nurse recommends CHUN to go to England for his advanced studies, PIK brings along her father to HK……

YEE is transferred to the detention ward for being charged as murder. She is emotionally out of control and refuses to see YAN. SUM speculates that YEE has got homicidal somnambulism and BUN also thinks that she killed CHUEN as well as NGA. YAN finds it hard to believe. BUN investigates the person who has attacked CHUEN and made him send to the hospital. HUNG suddenly asks SHAU YEE to meet him and claims that PO is acting very strange recently. They follow PO and see that she takes out a large amount of money from the bank. When they ask PO about it, she is panic and grabs HUNG away. When SHAU YEE figures out who is the murderer that killed CHUEN, a speedy car knocks him down. YEE wants to break up with YAN and meanwhile he gets the news that SHAU YEE is injured seriously and in a coma. HUNG knows that it is PO who killed and knocked SHAU YEE down. Despite all the heartache, he reports to the police. PO decides to surrender……

SUM wants to resign and runs his own business. HANG tries his best to make him stay. SHAU YEE has an unsettled mind about PO had once attempted to kill him. YAN and YEE comfort him. CHUN struggles between love and ideality. SUM, meanwhile, finds it hard to decide whether to run his own business or staying back. YAN finds the case of PO is very suspicious and BUN reveals the background of HUNG to him. YAN infers that HUNG has a split personality and PO only acts as a scapegoat. HUNG visits PO at the prison and blames himself for not taking good care of her. Suddenly his expression changed and claims ferociously that he wants to kill the KO family. PO is astounded. HUNG seizes SHAU YEE to the rooftop of the hospital as a hostage. YAN extrapolates that HUNG splits into his father LAW BIU’s violent character. Together with SUM, they manage to save SHAU YEE through a very risky way……
