Alarmed at the fact that things have started happening differently than in her dreams, Athanasia finds an ancient book that will help her in practicing magic. When she begins her training, the mysterious great wizard Lucas appears before her with a warning.
Athanasia falls into a coma from which Lucas saves her. She is told that she collapsed because her magical energy overflowed, and she's given highly skilled tutors to help her learn to control her magic, but she shows no signs of improvement. Then, she makes a certain deal with Lucas.
