Sue’s husband Dave has died, and her son is moving out to fix his marriage, so he decides to buy his mum a surprise – a care provider with a difference to help her live independently.

Sue offers to work at the charity shop for the day, but it’s a disaster, thanks to Linda, and when Sue tries to show up for Michael at Renee’s BJJ presentation, things get even worse.

Linda drags Sue to scatter ashes by the sea, which sparks a trip to a dodgy funfair where a rollercoaster ride goes wrong. Meanwhile, Linda sabotages Michael’s open-mic rock ambition.

Sue has invited Michael and Renee to a nice family dinner but is upset when their real motive for coming round is revealed. Linda proves to be useful by averting tragedy.

Linda persuades Sue to go camping to see an epic meteor storm under clear skies, but Linda ends up causing chaos at the campsite, and Michael gets some shocking news.

With Michael unemployed and living back at home, he decides it’s time to send Linda back. But can Sue really live without her?
