The Wild Ones

The season is off to a dangerous start when a sudden cold snap freezes the Nemiah Valley floor, forcing the team to make last minute adjustments if they hope to get on an even footing with the wild horses.

The team pursues a group of studs through the treacherous terrain on Bald Mountain. But moving them from the catch pen to the training grounds is an entirely different kind of challenge.

Hawkridge has his eye on a group of unusual white horses on the Konni Lake hills. Howard enlists his old friend Darren to help bring in the mysterious studs. When a newborn foal follows Meranda home, the team must work together to save the young horse’s life – and the Lares family cooks up a baby formula they hope will do the trick.

The riders brave treacherous terrain in pursuit of an infamous wild stud. The rescued foal creates havoc on the ranch. Hawk and Emery make a grizzly discovery.

The annual Williams Lake Stampede opens with the arrival of the Xeni Gwet’in Wagon Trip. The chase team face off against each other – and their rivals from Merritt, BC – in the death-defying Mountain Race. Amanda tests her new horse, Trippy, in the Wild Cowgirl race.

The cowboys find it increasingly difficult to keep up with the athletic summer Qayus. With time running out on the chase season, the team is forced to adapt or admit failure.

It’s the last chase of the season, and the team makes one final push to bring in some promising Qayus by moving the chase off the mountain and into the meadows. But tensions run high when they disagree about strategy.
