A child named Ayush, who is eight years old, is in a critical condition, with a tantric performing a ritual to save him from being "called by God." The tantric insists no third person should be in the room during the ritual. However, despite the tantric's efforts and past successes, Ayush does not survive.
Sanjana blames herself and Ajay for leaving their son Ayush with a "dreadful tantric," believing Ayush's soul is now in someone's custody. Ajay tries to reassure her, explaining that "sir" (presumably the tantric) helps people with such problems and is not dreadful. He encourages Sanjana to rejoin school to distract herself from worry. Later, Sanjana is in a class about "The Valley of Flowers".
The characters grapple with the identity of "Kalwa" and the strange occurrences. Guruji explains that a book in a "secret language" reveals how to free a soul trapped for centuries by confronting the "dark power" at its root. They then discuss how to find Ayush's location, and a locket given by Grandma is mentioned.
Ajay is caught by his brother Vijay walking behind the house late at night. Vijay warns him against going to that side, citing dangerous poisonous snakes and the general danger of walking outside so late in the village. Bunty, who is following Ajay, expresses suspicion about Vijay's warning, feeling that something is being hidden. The episode ends with the revelation that Kalwa took Tashi.
Bunty confesses to Ajay, apologizing for his past jealousy regarding Ajay's achievements and begging him to find Tashi. Sanjana also pleads for help to find her daughter. They are trying to rescue Ayush, who is possessed by Kalwa, and attempt to make him understand that they are fighting to free him.
