Lyuba learns that her husband is leaving her for a young graduate student. She is deeply hurt by his betrayal. Her daughter Masha, wanting to help her mother, suggests that they take an urgent holiday in a warm climate. But at that moment, they receive an alarming phone call: Lyuba's grandmother has broken her leg and needs help. Lyuba and Masha change their plans and head for the village.
