In a radical reality challenge, two groups of ordinary people enter an abandoned post-apocalyptic town from opposite sides, unaware of each other’s existence. With no electricity, food or water, they must survive using only the limited resources around them. But when the two factions finally discover each other, survival turns into chaos and conflict.

Hostilities erupt between the Eastside and Westside as stolen chickens and a feast of fried Spam fuel tensions. When an Eastside delegation arrives armed with baseball bats, the Westside survivors are forced to defend themselves. With morale falling, Brooke weighs her options, while Keira and Kyra have an explosive confrontation with Bertie at Eastside HQ.

A fragile peace deal between the Eastsiders and Westsiders is agreed - including the chickens. Matty invents a work hack for wood and water collection featuring a repurposed lawnmower. Newcomer Alix arrives just as after the group's gun goes missing, and leads an all-female goat rustling expedition that can only lead to conflict. Scott reveals a shocking story about his son.
