Sky Tower

Like parents dropping off a kid at uni, Brazilian cousins Antonio and Cecilia road-trip through New Zealand with their former flatmate, Lucas, as the young Brazilian man starts a new chapter in Auckland.

The three amigos arrive in Auckland and take in the big city sights and beautiful scenery, including the picturesque, dreamy views from the iconic Sky Tower.

The hunt for a new flat begins as Lucas finds himself frustrated with his options. Fortunately, a sunny afternoon with good friends and fish and chips help ease the pain.

With the first day of hunting for flats in the failed books, the trio settle in for the night, sleeping inside their van - or at least they try to. After a long, exhausting night, Antonio and Lucas find solace with a beautiful seaside sunrise.

Groggy, Antonio and Lucas are grateful for Cecilia's morning coffee run as the three amigos enjoy the sea breeze and views of Mission Bay before heading off for more flat viewings. As Lucas frets about his future, Antonio dwells on his tragic past as Cecilia comforts him.

After nearly two days of almost's and nearly's, Lucas is over the moon when he finally finds a perfect place to call home. Starting a new job as a night shift petrol station attendant, Lucas tearfully says farewell to his surrogate family as they all start a new chapter in their lives.
