NY Ink follows Ami as he puts it all on the line to become the Tattoo King of New York. Always looking for his next big challenge, Ami's new shop, Wooster Street Social Club, will be opening up right in the heart of SoHo. A new shop means hiring a whole new crew, and with that, a whole new set of problems.

With the shop's rough opening week, Chris Torres is causing problems and Ami decides whether to fire his first employee already.

Megan's partying is affecting her work and Tim Hendricks' easy going attitude is interfering with the business.

Billy, Ami's apprentice and friend, is reaching his breaking point. When Megan's boyfriend cheats with her best friend, Chris sees an opportunity for romance.

The shop isn't financially stable and Ami is worried. Jessica tries to help but makes things worse.

Ami must be brutally honest with Jessica when a photoshoot threatens to interfere with her work at the shop and Tommy's constant pranks are upsetting Robear.

The shop is floundering with the lack of appointments and former Miami Ink apprentice Yoji arrives for a visit. As Chris's relationship with Megan is heating up, his behaviour is getting worse.

The season ends with Ami finally having enough with Chris and Megan finds herself stuck in between. The crew's future together is uncertain when youngest female Survivor winner Jenna Morasca arrives for a tattoo.
