The team gets ready to begin the 2018/19 season under new head coach Lucien Favre, alongside several new signings, while also looking back on their performances from the previous year. Dortmund starts the campaign strongly, impressing both in the league and in the UEFA Champions League.

A wave of injuries hits the squad, leaving the team struggling to bounce back after their draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. Former manager Ottmar Hitzfeld looks back fondly on leading Dortmund to victory in the 1996/97 UEFA Champions League.

As the team fights to hold off FC Bayern in the title race, the club reflects on the 2000s, a period marked by financial difficulties as well as strong runs in the UEFA Champions League.

After being knocked out of both the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal, Dortmund directs all its hopes toward winning the Bundesliga title, even as the task becomes more difficult with each matchday.
